Here’s some viewing pleasure for you, it’s Laura and Nick’s Hope Mill Theatre Wedding. This was my first time photographing a wedding at Hope Mill Theatre, and I really hope it won’t be my last. It’s such a cool venue, and the team at Alternative Weddings MCR did an incredible job creating the vision Laura and Nick had for their wedding day.
My day started with preparations over at Laura and Nick’s home. I think I had a slight freak out when Laura showed me her dress for the first time. She wore a vintage dress from Glory Days Bridal, and it couldn’t have been more perfect for her.
Their ceremony took place at Manchester Town Hall, followed by a drink reception there. Guests then made their way over to the theatre whilst we went on a little tour of Manchester for some portraits. Nick and Laura first met at a Belle and Sebastian night at The Star and Garter, so we headed over there first for some photographs outside. It turned out the lovely staff were inside, and were kind enough to let us sneak in for a few photographs inside. I’m so happy they did, as this was such a lovely moment.
The party was in full swing when we arrived back at Hope Mill Theatre. Guests were treated to some cracking food from Purely Pizza and Bangers and Bacon, washed down with homemade damson gin which Laura and Nick had as favours. After speeches everyone hit the dance floor hard to the sounds of Jukebox Band, who had the room rocking.
This was such a brilliant day to be a part of. Super stylish, laid back, and a lot of fun. thank you so much Laura and Nick for having me along. A big shout out to Steve, who joined me on this one, cheers buddy!
