I love a Manchester city centre wedding (this city is the best, right?), and Lou and Dan’s King Street Townhouse wedding was a fine example of why I do. Manchester has some of the most incredible architecture, and there is always something new to find. As long as you’re willing to go exploring the streets and back alleys, which Lou and Dan were more than happy to do, the troopers.
Their wedding took place at the beginning of April, on a beautiful sunny Sunday. One of those freakishly warm days that make you feel like you’re living in another country for a minute. I think Dan’s Spanish roots had something to do with this, so thanks for that. This made the day even more perfect as they were able to host the reception out of the incredible balcony at King Street Townhouse. If you haven’t been, get yourselves up there. The view of the city is an absolute beauty, especially on a sunny day.
It was a super relaxed morning with the ladies over at the hotel for preparations, before making our way over to the Town Hall for the ceremony itself. A ceremony that was full of huge, glowing smiles, and a couple of tears too. We went for a little explore around the streets for some photographs, before making our way up to the hotel balcony for drinks where the guest were waiting. The drinks flowed, the beautiful tapas meal was shared amongst friends and family, and the speeches filled the room with laughter.
Everyone headed out for evening cocktails and cigars on the balcony as the sun came down over the city. Such a perfect ending to the day. The night sky brought with it plenty of dance floor action, that I’m sure continued late into the night.
Such a brilliant day spent with the nicest people. Thanks so much Lou and Dan!
