My adventure into film photography continued a couple of weeks ago, thanks to the wonderful Jess and Andy. This was my first wedding pre-shoot shot entirely on film, and I’m massively grateful to these guys for putting their trust in me. Jess and Andy live in the centre of Manchester, so we went for a stroll around the Northern Quarter early one evening, trying to catch the last of the evening sunshine before it turned into drizzle. I took them on the world famous Emma Boileau Photography Tour of Stinking Back Alleyways, what a treat for them hey? I think there was even a bonus drunken heckler at one point too. Jess and Andy took it in their stride though, and just continued to pose their way around Manchester’s finest hangouts.
At the beginning of the shoot, Jess was feeling a little bit nervous about having her photograph taken. Andy on the other hand, was looking forward to throwing some model faces around the city. By the end of our time together, both were super relaxed. They agreed it was such a good way to get used to being in front of the camera before their wedding. Plus we got to hangout together for a couple of hours too, which was lovely.
I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this August at The Deaf Institute, it’s gonna be a good ‘un!
