Lucie and Andrew’s rainy festival wedding took place at the end of a beautiful sunny week back in June. One of those weeks when you know the rain is going to show up at some point, but you’re just not too sure when. Not to worry though. Everyone came armed with wellies, ponchos, umbrellas, and their serious party heads on.
Following an awesome wedding ceremony with the coolest vicar on the planet (please see photographic evidence on this below), the heavens opened the minute Lucie and Andrew left the church. With brollies at the ready, everyone made their way to Andrew’s parents house where the reception was taking place. A ridiculous amount of work had gone into preparing for the reception; crafting, DIYing, building bridges, you name it. The garden and marquee looked amazing decorated to the nines, with so much colour.
What followed was a mixture of hilarious moments and dancing galore, in a marquee full of love for the brilliant Lucie and Andrew. Andrew and Lucie were engaged at Glastonbury festival and wanted to bring a little piece of that atmosphere to their wedding day. With the help of the wonderful Deckheds the party literally started the minute the music began and didn’t stop. Throughout the meal everyone was treated to playlists curated by some of the guests, a genius idea that had folks up and dancing in between courses. I need to give a special mention to Andrew’s dancing. Now this man can move, he is most definitely winning wedding dancer of the year 2016 so far, it’s going to take some beating.
A truly unforgettable day with amazing people, congratulations Lucie and Andrew!
